Description
Molykote 1000 Threadlocker Paste is used for bolted connections subjected to high temperatures up to 650ºC and corrosion exposure. After assembly and the initial period of operation, these connections require tightening or disassembly. To maintain consistent preload forces, stable and constant friction coefficients of the lubricant are necessary.
Molykote 1000 is successfully applied for cylinder head bolts in internal combustion engines, blister machines, feedthrough insulators, screws of machine heads for plastic injection molding, bolted connections in oil and chemical industry equipment, thermoplastic machines, and extruders in polymer industries, ovens and drying chambers in various industries, as well as pipeline fittings across different sectors.
The product is ideal for lubricating chain drives, sliding guides, threaded, splined, and key connections and is recommended by ABB Electroengineering, ALFA LAVAL, IMA, Nord-Lock, and Sandvik Coromant.
Application Instructions:

Clean the contact surface from contaminants.

Apply as usual for grease-type lubricants using a brush, spatula, syringe, grease gun, or automatic lubrication equipment.
