CP5512 is a professional SIMATIC NET communication card designed for laptops and used to provide communication between PCs and SIMATIC systems via PROFIBUS, MPI, PPI and FWL networks. The card is designed for a 32-bit PCMCIA CardBus slot and corresponds to the Siemens 6GK1551-2AA00 CP5512 model.
The CP5512 features an isolated communication interface, lightning and overvoltage protection, RS485 overcurrent protection with recovery functionality, and industrial-grade components. Communication speeds range from 9.6 Kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s.
